The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
The Mississauga Fire Fighters Association (IAFF Local 1212) represents over 800 professional firefighters, officers, dispatchers, and support staff in the City of Mississauga. Chartered in 1955, Local 1212 is celebrating 70 years of service (1955–2025) to our membership and the nearly 800,000 residents across the city.
Our mandate as an association is member advocacy, safety, and community protection. A central priority for our union is making sure Mississauga’s 33 front-line apparatus remain fully staffed and in service 24 hours a day, while fighting for fair working conditions, workplace safety, and the equipment our members need on the job.
